CAMARGO

Camargo has got excellent genetics and proved himself in sport at the highest level. This son of Olympic stallion Canturo is bred out of the brilliant For Pleasure daughter Fit For Fun. Ridden by the Philippaerts brothers and Luciana Diniz, Camargo himself jumped at the highest level as well. With Portugal’s Luciana Diniz, Camargo won the Grand Prix of Eschweiler as well as a CSI5* 1.60m class in Calgary, Spruce Meadows. Camargo also scored podium finishes at prestigious shows such as CHIO Aachen, Liège and Chantilly – both with Luciana Diniz and Olivier Philippaerts. Another of Camargo’s great performances was the 4th place in the Global Champions Tour of Shanghai.

Ridden by Brazil’s Bernardo Alves, sire Canturo jumped at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and stood out for his unlimited scope and fantastic way of jumping. In breeding, Canturo produced many Grand Prix showjumpers, such as Good Luck (Cian O’Connor), Zypria S (Willem Greve), Cristy (Marcus Ehning) and Can Ya Makan (Shane Breen). Camargo’s dam Fit For Fun was even more successful in sport. Ridden by Luciana Diniz, Fit For Fun was for years one of the best showjumpers in the world. With her incredible attitude and brilliant reflexes, Fit For Fun won the CSI5* Grand Prix competitions of Rotterdam, Doha, Sankt Gallen, Al Rayyan and Basel. In addition, she came second in the Rolex Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows in 2017 and in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen in both 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, Fit For Fun competed at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the World Cup Final in Lyon in 2014 and the European Championships in Aachen and Gothenburg.

Besides the top performances of dam Fit For Fun, even more sport comes from the direct family of Camargo. For example, Fit For Fun’s full brother Flight of Ikarus also jumped at 1.60m level with Janne-Friederike Meyer and Justine Tebbel and half-brother Darco For Fun Z was approved by OS and Zangersheide.

With his two Olympic parents and his own achievements at the highest level, Camargo seems to have everything to develop into a valuable stallion in breeding. From a small number of coverings, Camargo has already produced some international showjumpers and his young offspring look very promising.
